Concerned Youth Organisation (CYO)
The Concerned Youth Organisation (CYO) is a local non-governmental organization that was established in 2002, dedicated to improve the socioeconomic challenges faced by children, youth, and women. Our mission is to promote sustainable development by addressing socio-economic challenges in education, health, climate change, food security and gender equality.
What we do
Empowering communities through action.
Strengthening Education Access
We promote access to quality education and help reduce dropout rates through mentorship, advocacy, and awareness in Malawi.
Livelihood & Economic Empowerment
CYO equips youth and women with vocational skills, entrepreneurship training, and access to income-generating opportunities.
Gender & Women Empowerment
We promote gender equality and support young women’s leadership, while addressing issues like gender-based violence.
Sustainable Environment Initiatives
We work with communities to build resilience against climate shocks by encouraging renewable energy adoption and environmental decision-making.
